The Joy of Waiting

A few hours ago, I decided to watch "You've Got Mail." For those of you who haven't watched the movie yet, here's a quick link for the synopsis. This movie stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. It's a pretty old movie and it brought back a lot of great memories.

Nung wala pa ang putanginang Facebook, Twitter, Instagram o whatever we only had e-mail tsaka chat. Oh, how thrilling 'yung may kausap ka from the opposite sex (sa pagkakaalam mo) tapos nagkukwentuhan kayo as friends and even flirt a little. Ang sarap isiping super hot chick ang kausap mo as opposed sa makikita mo agad ang itsura via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or kung anu anong shit. Haha. Nakakamiss yung anonymous yung kausap mo and then curious ka kung maganda nga siya or mabait or kung magkikita man kayo if ever.

It's like waiting for your favorite song sa FM radio. And I can also remember listening to the daily vote countdown. Tatalon pa'ko nun kapag no.1 ang paborito kong kanta.

Kaya ako, I barely listen to my playlist na. Whenever nagda-drive ako, I turn on the radio and listen to FM music. Tatawag si lalake tatawag si babae tapos mag-uusap sila with the DJ.

I get impatient when I wait for my favorite song. Pero even if I wait for 10 songs and then pinatugtog ang paborito kong kanta, nakakalimutan kong naghintay ako ng sampung kanta para lang marinig ko siya. It's well worth the wait.

I no longer like listening to my playlist because it contains all my favorite songs.

A few posts ago, I talked about not giving in to the pressure of getting married. Lately, I've been thinking about it a lot and it's building up. Getting married is such a BIG THING and somehow, I'm already looking forward for it. Having a wife you'll wake up to every morning, kids na makulit (kaugali ko), being independent and finally ligal na ang sex.

But I can't get married now. Maybe in the near future. I just have to wait I guess.

I know it'll be all worth it.
